Tourism industry experts say Georgia’s economy has lost $5 million in the past two years due to an increase in the number of tourists.
The country’s tourism industry was expected to generate around $1.5bn in 2016-17.
However, the Tourism Institute of Georgia says the number is now at its lowest since 2006.
Georgia’s tourism revenue is down 4.6 per cent since last year, according to the institute.
