The United States and Nevada have long had a rocky relationship.
But the state’s tourism industry is poised to thrive under a Trump administration that has vowed to crack down on illegal immigration.
That has prompted the nation’s biggest casino operator to offer free rides for illegal immigrants and offered to hire workers in Nevada for the first time.
“It’s going to be a win for the state of Nevada,” Nevada Gaming Control Board chairman David Gurney said in an interview with CNNMoney.
Nevada is the first state to implement a program called Operation Tijuana, which lets guests stay at one of Nevada’s six resorts and spend the night at the hotel instead of traveling to a hotel.
Gurney was speaking at the Vegas Convention Center, where he is visiting with other industry leaders to discuss the state tourism boom.
Las Vegas has long been a popular destination for illegal workers and visitors, but its tourism boom has coincided with the federal government’s crackdown on the illegal alien population.
A wave of border-crossing illegal aliens is responsible for more than 1 million illegal crossings into the U.S. annually, according to the U, and has prompted some state governments to impose tougher border-control measures.
The Trump administration has taken a tough stance on illegal border crossings, ordering the creation of a “deportation force” that would remove hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from the U.
This week, Nevada’s Tourism Development Corp. said that it was offering free rides to illegal immigrants in a $1,000-a-day offer that would allow them to stay at resorts for a minimum of one night, according a statement from the company.”
We expect we will have 1.6 million people in the state by the end of 2019,” he said.

Gurne said the program was a first for Nevada, but that it will be replicated nationwide.
For Nevada, which was among the first states to impose a border-adjustment tax on undocumented immigrants, the idea of offering free trips is part of a broader strategy to improve the economy, said John DeSimone, the executive director of the Nevada Chamber of Commerce, which is working with the state to develop the program.
“I think it’s a smart move to get the industry to help with that and help the state as well,” DeSimones said.
The program will be used by about 100 hotels, casinos and other businesses in Nevada, according the Nevada Gaming Commission.
The hotel industry has struggled with a shortage of hotels.
Las Vegas has the second-most hotel vacancies in the country after New York, according an analysis by the New York Times.
The state also plans to offer more jobs to the illegal immigrants, DeSimoni said.
The state’s Tourism Department will hire workers to work as hotel security guards at the resorts and hotels, according Gurne.
The program will last for one year and Gurnes is not sure how many jobs will be created.
The Nevada Gaming Board said that in 2019, it will hire 200 more people to provide security at its resorts, casinos, food court and other business locations.
Gurnay said the department expects to hire as many as 3,000 people this year.
According to the state, the program will also help Nevada attract tourists, as illegal immigrants will have to pay the same tax as tourists and they will have access to state-provided health care, education and other services, Gurnew said.
“They will be able to take advantage of those services,” Gurnefell said.
Gulf tourists are a key segment of Nevada tourism, with Las Vegas having one of the nation’ largest tourist industries.
The region also has one of its most popular tourist attractions, the Las Vegas Strip, which draws more than 200,000 visitors a year, according USA Today.
Gullery said the state also expects to attract tourists from outside the country and from Asia and Europe, which are also the fastest-growing foreign markets for the tourism industry.
Guelha and others said the idea is to bring jobs back to Nevada.
“The people that come here are people who want to live and work in Nevada,” Gullery told CNNMoney in an email.
“So, it’s an opportunity to create jobs here.”
Gulleries, a businessman who has owned casinos in New York City and Atlantic City, said he wants to help Nevada develop a stronger economy that will allow the state and its people to remain relevant and competitive in the future.
“It is a very exciting time in Nevada’s history,” he added.
