And it’s also one the top destination for people visiting Latin America, with the region accounting for a third of the world’s tourists, according the United Nations Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
The tourism industry also enjoys some competition from countries in Africa.
But Chile has consistently maintained its lead in international tourists, the study said.
A trip to Chile is usually a quick trip to the most famous tourist attractions.
The tourist industry is a major draw for tourists, who flock to Santiago and other major cities.
